Home Information Packs, or HIP Packs, are now a legal requirement for all homes placed on the housing market. The HIP Pack must also contain an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which can only be provided by a qualified and accredited Domestic Energy Assessor.
The EPC details the energy efficiency of a property and its environmental impact in terms of carbon dioxide emissions, as well as suggestions on to how to improve the property's efficiency.
